day 8

Hi my name is leslie and I am frump girl.....
I don't really care about how I looked today my knee was so so sore from yesterday I didn't want to wear heels. but I was comfortable today...
I don't know why I didn't carry pepper spray in my purse prior to last night. I don't know why I didn't try to knee the guy. I froze I was scared and all i could thing of was to scream and scream.I didnt wake up scared or have a nightmare, I just woke up annoyed at myself for not thinking clearly.

But on to today it was the most gorgeous day outside I wish I could have worked outside the entire day. I am very excited that my makeup artistry work has really had me busy! Its never the same thing twice!  I am in wedding season so it has been many many brides who are ever so stunning. I have man fun projects lined up for the summer so I am excited and preparing for that. As I have gone  one and finished more of these 30 x 30 days I have had fun deviated from my original planned outfits to mix and match some fun colors, that I wouldnt have done before.

Doing this 30x30 I learned a few things, i dont own a single green shirt or accent of green however I own booty loads of teal.

So after this journey of remixing I am going to invest in a nice quality green cashmere sweater... damn you animated cardigan for inflicting me with this uncontrollable lust for j.crew....... and a scarf and some shoes and some .....

DAY 3: Im a wheel watcher

I have had the words to that damn commercial in my head for a week now. I have no idea why but I am pretty sure I almost made Julie pee her pants as she watched me to do my jigg while I sang the song to her. Our job gets way to serious sometimes and a song and dance was just needed.

So I am getting ready to sit down and work on some post. When out of the corner of my eye i spied something on top of my clothing rod..... She is definately feeling better after being super sick for over a week. My heart breaks when my animals are sick because they cant tell me why they feel yucky. Lola never gets sick and I think that that alot of this is because she is lonesome since our MiMi cat died.

Today was the first day of my 30x30 and while I am excited to do this project, it made me a little sad because I have back slid a little bit on my weight which made these pants fit a bit too tight. I talked to Jake about my balls to the wall approach that I am about to take to shed the weight that I regained. I am embarrassed that I let my emotional frumpy-ness take over my makeup and hair.

No BUENO. Tomorrow I am going to be back in the game looking lovely and put together.

First off let me state YOWZAS it is hot Summer has arrived in So.Tx. I am kicking myself for wearing jeans today.

I have said it a million times that being a blogger sometimes feels a lil lonely depending on where you live. Today I met 4 yes 4 local fashion bloggers. Super Super excitement over here. Naturally I became excited and I became a motor mouth. I didnt shut up..... oops sorry ladies. I am excited for the foundation that was laid out to make our market more recognizable for fashion and beauty.

Southern Sweet Tea

I am kicking coke....for those who know me in real life I know you are gasping wondering how I will survive with out my sweet sugary concoction. I have platued on my  weight loss journey and while I refuse to give up bread  I will give up coke. Its a good thing I am southern to lean on one horrible vice while kicking another. My husband loves to point out that going on to tea is just a bad as coke. ( I know also but i dont care)

I think I am starting to catch a bug, I feel totally under the weather today and want nothing more than new pillows and a nap.
I hope I am not sick I go on vacation in a week, and I am getting the chance to meet a few fabulous local bloggers this weekend and lord knows I am not missing that.


About the pants. When I bought them they were skin tight I could barely close them and they had about a foot of extra fabric on the length. I have been busting weight watches ass, and now I am pleased to state these pants are pretty loose now :)

a lil about my weekend

I am kinda addicted to the discovery channel. I watch it excessively here at home and if I could I'd watch it at the fulltime job. Its like super soothing.
This weekend was my birthday, yes I got a whole weekend.
I went and kinda sorta spoiled my self with some essie polish, and shoes oh yeah and two pretty awesome michael kors bags that I stashed in layway at TJ MAXX. Which let me tell you I was in the dark about the fantabulous fact that TJ MAXX had layway. My lovely 'Dia organized a dinner for my birthday on saturday, and honestly when it comes down to your birthday you really see who you are friends with, and I now know where I stand with alot of people. and its okay because I dont want that kind of toxicity in my life. Then Sunday was spent with Boo during the day assisting her on a photoshoot, until I came home to uh YES YES YES YES breaking dawn and popcorn. Hubs rocks. and my special christmas gift ( i explain this later in this post) Gabriel Iglesias "im not fat... I'm fluffy" .

So lets get back to TJ MAXX right fast. Uh can we say I will have my bedroom and my guest bathroom and my office redone with lushness because I can pay half and half!!!!!  I dont know why I didnt think about doing this with even burlington already. Like seriously?? I always joke that just about the time we get settled into this house our lease will be up and this will be the time my landlord wants to sell our house and we will have to move. Yes I know we wouldnt have this issue if we bought our own house, we are on the long road to credit recovery because this is not a buyers market this is  banks market.  we have to get this shoe storage issue undercontrol with a wide mid-height bookshelf. OUr closet is litered with shoes and it would nice not to have them in on my desk and on my file cabinet.
For our bedroom, and looking to do deep emerald greens or navy blues. I saw this amazing side chair at an antique store that is tempting me. its actually got a emerald and navy paisley pattern on it. I would be so perfect to be in the corner of my bedroom. well at least with the vision I have. I just need to first see what I can find for bedding and curtains before I can commit to purchasing it.
I have a long long week ahead of me 20 hours of voluntary overtime. I need to keep my self busy while hubs is outta town on business. Yes I will have yet another solo holiday as this time he will be gone for Valentines day aka our christmas. :'( Since his bday is christmas we typically do  big gift giving on valentines day and wonk wonk not this year he will be leaving on a jet plane that morning.

God bless the inventor of the panty girdle. seriously I know some folks think that they are devises of torture made to keep us from breathing. Yeah it is so what, but isnt it worth the smooth lines? It keeps my junk from jiggling like two pigs fighting under a blanket... I am sorry its not attractive ladies get your junk under control! I am not saying one should rock ir 24/7 but at least when you are in your nicer / work clothes take the extra effort to avoid looking like a complete hot mess.

So today was epic for me, I went shopping for new clothing in a new size and for the first time in 3 freaken years I did not have to shop in a plus size specific store. Holy shit I am making it back to the skinny girl stores. I felt nervous as I slipped into a dressing room each time, and I found it frustrating when the dress I wanted was too small in the bust but okay not going to complain about the girls just being too big, but I kept waiting for stuff to not button or to be to short because of my rear or my weight. Peice by peice I didnt have that issue and that is a huge ego boost.

 And most importantly of course my health numbers are back to premo again!

I have cleared out my closet with tons of stuff to take to god will and the local churches so I am glad this is also benefiting others. We planned for an entire day at our outlet malls and instead hubs and I were done in 3 hours. oh and we tracked it all our walking added up to 6 activities points each for us today!

I have to get back to laundry its the weekend choice that I hate the most.
