day 8

Hi my name is leslie and I am frump girl.....
I don't really care about how I looked today my knee was so so sore from yesterday I didn't want to wear heels. but I was comfortable today...
I don't know why I didn't carry pepper spray in my purse prior to last night. I don't know why I didn't try to knee the guy. I froze I was scared and all i could thing of was to scream and scream.I didnt wake up scared or have a nightmare, I just woke up annoyed at myself for not thinking clearly.

But on to today it was the most gorgeous day outside I wish I could have worked outside the entire day. I am very excited that my makeup artistry work has really had me busy! Its never the same thing twice!  I am in wedding season so it has been many many brides who are ever so stunning. I have man fun projects lined up for the summer so I am excited and preparing for that. As I have gone  one and finished more of these 30 x 30 days I have had fun deviated from my original planned outfits to mix and match some fun colors, that I wouldnt have done before.

day 7

my day seven has no photo, because it was completely shot to hell last night when i was on my way to meet Jake for dessert at a local restaurant. I got out of my car and all of a sudden I was slammed into my car and someone was fighting me for my purse. I did the only thing I could think and I screamed ala horror movie style. I am very lucky that it got a security guards attention, since no one in the parking lot appeared to feel the need to inquire why someone was screaming.

I had an awesome post planned for last night but dkjfhd thats what i think of that.

I am back in the game today though no worries.

Us against the grocery store Day 6

This is me about 11 at night after getting home from a full day at work and a trip to the store for some much needed groceries. I was wiped out. AND SAD all the news ever talks about is the rising obesity rate.  Much to jakes occasional dismay I am trying to get us flipped over to a 50% organic and gluten free diet. Its so expensive! We stock up on those items one a month and I swear that is the time when our grocery bill triples. Buts it so worth it...

 OK you can ask everyone that i encounter in real life I take very little effort to the  hair on my head. But after a few cock eyed looks from the husband I have been putting some effort in and I am kinda proud of myself.

Just another Manic Monday Day 5

The best part of the day today was logging off for the night and walking out the door. Not that anything bad happened today, I just wasnt feeling it all. I came home and told jake I was going to cook and I would be more pleasant after I cooked dinner. It was worth the additional 45 mins of crankyness I needed those potatoes au gratin. 

Is it pay day yet? I want new shoes.... 

I want to talk about something. I have been called a bimbo yeah someone actually used the word bimbo 3x's this week because I blog about clothing and makeup. I am a makeup artist and I have the pleasure of working with a few wonderful women who support me whole heartedly and shows genuine interest in what I do. I also am loosing weight and I happen to like to window shop, and since my happy rear-end is glued to an office chair yes on my break I like to online window shop.  So here is a lil bit about me I love to cook I spend majority of my evenings reading about cooking or cooking. I am active in charities on a local and national level. I read on average 4 books a month that arent cook books and I can hold my own in a conversation and if ever the convo goes over my head I am smart enough to ask for a quick breakdown so I can jump on board again.

Lazy Sunday Day 4

We woke up late today as in we gotta be at work in 20 mins and we live 12 mins away with no traffic late. I dont think I have ever gotten dressed so fast in my life! I dont know about Jake but I made it to my desk with a whopping minute to spare.I kinda look like i got up and dressed in the dark. but what can you do, you know. These jeans are my favorite jeans the first day I wear then they are super duper tight awesome for a tall boot the  second time I wear them they are nice and loose and baggy almost like a boyfriend jean. In other news, I am on the hunt for a neon orange necklace this week.

nail polish: color club glittery envy & chelsea girl

 Truth be told I bought glittery envy for reasons unbeknownst to me. I absolutely loath this color as an all over nail color and find I really only like it when I do nail art.

 

This past weekend I took Remy to a doggy meetup event for little dogs at the park and we walked 4.4 miles okay lets be honest he walked 3 miles i carried him his water bottle my water bottle his treat bag and my walking weights for 1.4 of those miles. I was really suprised at how well he did we only had maybe 25 mins of sheer over stimulation where he was just everywhere after that he became very calm and seemed to enjoy the walk. Just look at him.... I am in serious puppy love.

DAY 3: Im a wheel watcher

I have had the words to that damn commercial in my head for a week now. I have no idea why but I am pretty sure I almost made Julie pee her pants as she watched me to do my jigg while I sang the song to her. Our job gets way to serious sometimes and a song and dance was just needed.

day 2

Oh the last day of work prior to the start of vacation was the longest day of my life. I hit serious burn out. I made a promise this year that if there is overtime I am only doing 6 hours a week TOPS. I am off to enjoy the rest of my staycation!

So I am getting ready to sit down and work on some post. When out of the corner of my eye i spied something on top of my clothing rod..... She is definately feeling better after being super sick for over a week. My heart breaks when my animals are sick because they cant tell me why they feel yucky. Lola never gets sick and I think that that alot of this is because she is lonesome since our MiMi cat died.

Today was the first day of my 30x30 and while I am excited to do this project, it made me a little sad because I have back slid a little bit on my weight which made these pants fit a bit too tight. I talked to Jake about my balls to the wall approach that I am about to take to shed the weight that I regained. I am embarrassed that I let my emotional frumpy-ness take over my makeup and hair.

No BUENO. Tomorrow I am going to be back in the game looking lovely and put together.

day 2 and 3

I am only 3 days in to my 30x30 and I am loven it this time around

I am pleased that I have so many friends participating with me IRL. But anywho here is day 2 and three since my camera is no where to be found for day one. Once I find that my awesomeness of day one hair makeup and outfit will be there for all to see and you know crappy camera photos wont be taken.

I kinda am a geek and mapped out like 10 outfits for my overtime days so I can get up and roll out of bed and get myself dressed and ready to go :-p kinda cheating but I need to make sure I am using 30x30 clothes lol

I am sad to report there was a tragic incident with 10 items of my 30x30 items, a pen was washed with them and needless to say I am on wash run three and 5 items are still a loss. Since I did need work clothes I went a replaced the two lost pair of slacks and the 3 lost shirts. I am actually really happy that I was able to replace my orange and white stripped shirt with the exact same shirt! yippie thanks ON. I wasnt that luck with the other items. So I have this question, do I integrate the replacement pieces into the cycle or do I start over. Hubs said just to start over since I have done 11 outfits already ( yeah I know I suck I have only posted 6 of them), I am torn I just am not sure which way to go with this. Opinions please!!!

So what have I learned so far? well that I own one belt, a red one. I don't know how I would even begin accessorizing with a belt and so happy to see photos of gals with belts. I really dont accessorize with anything really which is a shame cause man I have seen some transformations online.....

I own a ton of solids, and I tend to get stuck in fashion ruts.

Well I am off to research recipes.

Here I am!

Lets get the nitty gritty out of the way before I go into my story...

Shirt: Lane Bryant Jeans: Old Navy sweetheart skinny Shoes: Coconut black and cork wedges.

Jewelry is my everyday jewelry my wedding band engagement right, a necklace from James Avery that Hub got me for our anniversary and a sterling silver western bracelet.

I bought this shirt um two years ago for my friends bridal shower, almost 2 years ago. I am not going to lie this is the only the second time I have worn this. Its such a pretty shirt too I dont know what I haven't used it more.

Sooooooooo based on the rules from the blog, you must take 30 articles from your closet and REMIX them into 30 fresh outfits. You have to shop your closet, and the hardest part you cant shop for 30 days! I want to do this before I go to New York City because for one hellllllloooo vintage shops, and H&M and two it forces me to save moola for my trip and well just in general. This challenge is supposed to teach you how to show your closet to see what items you really do need when you go shopping at the end of your thirty days.
I personally think Kendi is a genius for coming up with this idea.
Being that I am a competitive person and I enjoy the personal challenge I am going to do this. I will complete this. Since I go to work boo-coo early I will take my photos of my  remixed outfits at the end of the day. I feel so excited to do an outfit of the day.
