Open letter to Old Navy
Dear Old Navy,
For a long time you guys have been my go to store, you have made my behind look amazing for years in your skinny jeans. We have been through a lot of weight loss and weight gain and I have always turned to this brand to make sure I look amazing.
So what gives? Why did you take the plus size line out of the stores? Hell I couldnt even find a plus size section in my outlet mall this time around. Is there any reason why suddenly you feel like my currently bubble butted state cant shop in your store? Contrary to popular belief chubby people actually like the thrill of shopping and trying on clothing and making wardrobe decisions. Please don't say its an issue of space because I have seen some serious wasted space in many of the old navy's I have been to. Please don't say it is to showcase the style because I can't touch the fabric, I cant gauge how the cut falls on me, I cant see if the color washes me out. Therefore it doesn't show case a thing to me, the consumer, the plus size shopper
While it may not seem like a lot to a large company I spent over $1000 dollars in ON and ON Outlets last year. I did that after trying on the clothing and falling in love with those dang rock star jeans and sweater dresses. $1000 is a lot of money for my household. That doesn't even account for the spending that is on my husbands attire as he digs your denim as well. But I have to say I'm turned off by the shunning of the thunder thighs like me from the brick and mortar store fronts. I don't shop on-line unless I am 100% sure of consistent sizing which is something that ON lacks which is why I shopped in store. My heart is sad, I felt like we had a good shopping relationship but I am breaking up with you. I am not going to be your secret shopper whom you are afraid to have the traditional sized folks to see.
regretfully,
LV

Curiosity got the best of me
I keep seeing tweets about this thing called influenster and how it was allowing the regular consumer and not just the pro blogger/vlogger review products and then to spread the good ( or even the not-so-good) word on them. I am not a professional blogger/vlogger, I am an everyday gal, and I like to really take the time to try new things out to see if its my new holy grail item and yes the products are sent complimentary from Influenster. I knew it was a shot in the dark to get approved for a program (every box is a program), you take several surveys to find a program that you match with and you dont know what programs there are so your answers are to not tailored to somethign you are TRYING to get. Well low and behold this chickie was approved. Behold my first VoxBox by Influenster which is the paradise box.
I am excited because these are all things I would use in my day to day life.My box included Olay FreshEffects Shine Shine Go Away, Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil, NYC New York Color Sparkle Eye Dust in Smokey Topaz, Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel Inserts, and Goody Hair TangleFix Brush.
I have alreay popped in the Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Inserts to my favorite shoes so we will see tonight how these made my tootsies feel after a day of working. I will use the other products over the next week and report back.
Its nice to be back I missed this place.

An overdue OOTD
I luck out and work in a business casual setting with a large mirror in the ladies room. I think this will take a lot pressure of my blogging wants since I can snap a photo and then type type type.
I scored this lil cream dress for a whopping 14.99 at Walmart in the beginning of the year and its great because as we know I live in Texas it's hot as balls and I don't wanna wear pants when it's so freaken hot. I will cry the day this sweater bites the dust it's been my favorite for the gosh 6 years I have owned it. It was a clearance find at target ( as were my nude flats ) and I pair it with everything you can imagine.
My BFF took her NCLEX today which I know she passed and I'm excited because we are way over due for ridiculous girl time.
I have to get some shut eye I am super tired weekly ootd coming soon!

Tap Tap Tap
... Is this thing still on? Oh yeah hey there blog world that I like to disappear from like all the time.
We are packing right now getting ready to move out of our rental home of three years and back into an apartment because its simpler and easier. And it will have a dishwasher. You don't know how much you miss an appliance until your husband is bitching daily about washing dishes ;) It is an accumulation of three years worth of crap okay not all crap but still it's a lot of stuff.
Life has been good a new job I have been here at company y for about hmmm 3 months now and it's good stuff I work with good people. It's a challenge knowledge wise but it really what I had been missing since leaving company x.
We are dealing with the progression of my grandpas Alzheimer's preparing our self with what's to come. He doesn't eat much anymore and his memory is to the point where my mom and dad don't think it's best for me to go alone anymore since it will upset me. I just keep my mind on the memories where he knew us and he was healthy.
I have to get back to this madness of packing. Hopefully with the ap on my phone ill be blogging more often xo..
